  • TEST TEST the monitors designed for 24/7 operation?
    Yes, except for the QL series all the monitors are designed to operate 24/7.
  • Can the monitors be mounted in landscape and portrait?
    Yes, all current models
  • Can you control these monitors via RS232?
    Yes, all models are controllable via RS232. The RS232 commands can be downloaded from the support page on this website.
  • How do I connect to a Philips monitor to manage or control via RS232?
    Depending on the model, the connector will either be a DB9 male serial connector or a 2.5mm female plug. (see user manual for specific information)
  • Can your monitors be remotely controlled via LAN (RJ45)?
    Yes, all current models except for the QL series are LAN controllable.
  • Can you daisy chain videos on these monitors?
    Yes, except QL models, all models (including video walls) can daisy chain videos through DVI, VGA, and on select models, Displayport.
  • How can I program my monitor to turn on and off automatically?
    Through the scheduler, found in the OSD menu.
  • What is the 3 year advanced exchange warranty?
    For 3 years from original date of purchase, Philips will replace a monitor, at no cost to the customer, if it is found to be electronically defective. This warranty does not cover customer abuse or physical damage.
  • Do the monitors have any power saving options?
    Yes, depending on the model,features such as SmartPower, automatic power management (APM), and other power saving features, all found in the OSD menu.
  • Do the monitors support OPS modules?
    Yes, on most models. (see product line for more information)
  • What is OPS?
    OPS is an Intel standard for a physical slot on the back of a display used to house a PC. It reduces cable clutter and allows any PC and display manufacturers to deliver compatible products.
  • Do these monitors have internal speakers?
    Yes, all models come with internal speakers.
  • What monitors support SmartCMS?
    SmartCMS is featured in all QL models, xx60EL, and xx80VL series. It will also be supported by our soon to be released zero bezel models.
  • Can the monitors be supported using a ceiling mount?
    Yes, all models have standard VESA mounting patterns. For specific mounting information, reference the applicable model’s mechanical drawing.
  • Are any Philips monitors built with IPS panels?
    Yes, on select models. (please see user manuals or product line brochure for more info)
  • Do Philips monitors offer USB playback?
    Yes, USB playback is available on select models. (please refer to the product line brochure for more info)
  • Do the monitors offer color calibration?
    Yes, it’s offered as an optional accessory to all current models, except for the QL line.
  • Do you offer an evaluation program?
    Yes, eligible customers can receive a monitor for a 30 day loan for evaluation purposes. For more information, email sales@epius.com or find your regional sales manager (link).
  • What accessories are included?
    A power cord, VGA cable, remote, two AAA batteries, RS232 cable, CD-ROM (includes the user manual and RS232 documentation), and quick start guide are included. In select models, an IR extender and edge alignment kit is included. Accessories may vary from model to model.
  • How can I get a replacement for accessories?
    Call Philips customer care at 877-835-1838. For electronic copies of documents, please download from our support page.
  • Can I turn off the power indicator LED on my monitor?
    Yes, on select models, through the OSD menu.
  • Does Philips offer any touch monitors?
    Yes, Philips offers both integrated multi-touch displays and touch overlays for most models.
  • What sizes are available?
    We offer sizes 32”, 42”, 46”, 47”, 49″, 55”, 65”, 84″, and 98″.

  • Do you offer a media player with your displays?
    No, however you can find one with our vast partner program. Contact a regional sales manager for more info.
  • How do you recommend cleaning the screen?
    Use an approved LCD glass cleaner with a microfiber cloth.
  • Is any type of finishing kit offered with a video wall?
    Yes, for current zero bezel models (XL and XH series), an edge alignment kit is available as an optional accessory.
  • Do any of your monitors support composite and component inputs?
    Yes, all models include a component input, but may not include a composite input. Please see specific product leaflets for details.
  • What options are available to prevent image retention?
    A picture shift feature is included in all models. This feature is not applicable to USB image playback.
  • Can my monitor’s keyboard (user control) or remote control be locked to prevent unwanted access?
    Yes, all models include an option to lock the remote control and/or the keyboard.
  • How can I reset my monitor?
    Through the factory reset feature found in the OSD menu.
  • Where can find my monitor’s serial number?
    You can find the serial number on the monitors carton, the back cabinet of the monitor, and in the monitor’s OSD menu.
  • Can I set a minimum and maximum volume setting?
    Yes, on select models, in the OSD menu.
  • Can I connect external speakers to my monitor?
    Yes, on select models.
  • Can audio be routed through an external sound system?
    Yes, on select models, either through the stereo RCA output jacks, or the digital output connector.
  • Can I power on my monitor to a specific video input?
    Yes, through the monitors scheduler, found in the OSD menu.
